چکیده

Cynometra cauliflora L., locally known as “ nam-nam ” or katak puru-puru in Malaysia is belonging to the Fabaceae family. The tree native and has been used traditionally folk medicine. Limited works have conducted on C. regarding its chemical composition. In view of this, present study aimed identify essential oil (EO) composition leaf, twig fruit evaluate their antioxidant, antimicrobial cytotoxic activities. EOs obtained from different parts were analyzed using capillary GC GC/MS. Twenty-six, seventeen fifty constituents identified . Results demonstrated dominance monoterpenes hydrocarbons leaf oxygenated oil. On contrary, was abundant sesquiterpenes. Different profiles found which contributed varied biological Twig (IC 50 37.12 ± 2.84 µg/mL) showed better antioxidant power than 207.17 2.95 oils 461.88 12.61 DPPH assay. Additionally, inhibited an entire range microorganisms tested with inhibition zones ranging 10.3 0.4 29.7 mm. displayed low MIC MBC values against Staphylococcus aureus (MIC 125.0 µg/mL; 250.0 MRSA µg/mL). vitro MTT assay, anti-proliferative effects human breast cancer MCF-7 cells.
